Winter season premiere on January 7th
CBS has announced that the 10th episode of the hit tv series Star Trek: Discovery will air on CBS All Access on January 7th, 2018. The second half of of Star Trek: Discovery‘s first season begins with Episode 10, titled “Despite Yourself”, was directed by Star Trek veteran Jonathan Frakes.
Not many details about the episode have been released by CBS, likely so they don’t spoil any of next week’s fall finale episode. However we do have a short synopsis of the episode.
Time to “get creative” in Episode 10
Along with the press release, CBS gave a short synopsis of the 10th episode.
While in unfamiliar territory, the USS Discovery crew is forced to get creative in their next efforts to survive opposing and unprecedented forces and return home.
Whether this means Discovery’s crew are exploring and end up in “unfamiliar territory” or if a spore drive jump goes awry is unclear. However, knowing the crew must “get creative” in order to return home, it sounds like something unexpected does happen, and likely by the end of next week’s episode.
Might they end up in another part of the galaxy or perhaps, as some fans have theorized, at some other point in time? We’ll need to tune in on January 7th to find out.
As for the rest of Star Trek Discovery‘s first season, the remaining six episodes will air weekly from then on, with the season finale taking place on February 11.
